The Florida Ricordea Mushroom 6-Pack is a great beginner coral pack that adds a multitude of colors to your aquarium. With this 6-pack you'll receive an assortment of Ricordea that will set off a area of your aquarium with a rainbow of colors: dark blues, baby blues, oranges, emerald greens, and fluorescent greens.

Ricordea readily adapt to a wide range of lighting conditions. In fact, their colors pop under actinic lighting. However, care should be taken to acclimate these corals to metal halide lighting. These corals should be placed low in the aquarium until they fully open. Then over a few weeks, gradually move them to the desired location. They prefer low water movement and leave space between each specimen and other corals, as they are semi-aggressive. They reproduce by longitudinal fission.

Ricordea are photosynthetic and the majority of their nutritional requirements are obtained from the symbiotic algae zooxanthellae hosted within each coral. They also eat plankton and smaller invertebrates, such as crustaceans and brine or mysis shrimp.

Ricordea Mushrooms will be shipped on small pieces or chips of rock, shell or gravel and may ship as one single Ricordea Mushroom per rock or multiple Ricordea Mushrooms attached to one rock. Also Ricordea upon arrival will be shriveled/deflated which is typical for mushroom coral. Once acclimated to your aquarium they will inflate to normal size. This process may take several days.
