Chaetomorpha Algae-Aquacultured(Chaeto)

Chaetomorpha Algae, also known as Chaeto or Spaghetti Algae is an excellent algae for use in refugiums. Chaeto grows rapidly under the right conditions, and forms tight clumps resembling a ball of fishing line or spaghetti. I started with Chaeto about the size of a golf ball. Chaeto will help reduce excess elements and nutrients in the water column. It will also act as a home for many critters such as copepods, mini feather dusters, sponges. It can grow under various lighting situations. Chaeto here on the farm grows under daylight power compact fluorescent bulbs. It is sold by the 4” bag.
